Woke up early so it's the weekend of the zucchini blossom

After missing the farmers market last week we woke up early this morning and headed to the North Market for the farmer's market. The Amish farmers had zucchini blossoms so I was like a kid who got to spend his birthday money in a candy store. I bought three baskets of blossoms and some fresh eggs and was done at the market. Well, we did go inside and buy some fresh donuts because when you see a fresh donut with chocolate glaze and bacon sprinkles you buy it! There were enough zucchini blossoms to make several different dishes, so I declare this the weekend of the zucchini blossom. Happiness is a bag of fresh blossoms.

For lunch I made beer battered ricotta stuffed zucchini blossoms which the wife and I didn't share with the boys since they were about to leave to get wings. Tomorrow morning I'm going to be making a zucchini blossom frittata.
